Serves 2
Ingredients:
2/3 cup oats
1 1/2 cup bone broth
Toppings:
Bratwurst from Land to Table Farm
Chopped chives from Laurelbrook Farm
Sautéed onion
Cilantro
Over easy egg
Turn your oven to 350 and place your brat(s) on a oiled cast iron. Cook for 20 minutes or until done, flipping halfway through. Bring the broth to a boil and put your oats in. Turn the heat down and stir occasionally until the oats have absorbed all the liquid (about 5 minutes) Near the end, add in the chopped chives to bring the flavor up a notch. Save some to sprinkle on at the end too! Meanwhile, sauté the onions and whatever other topping you prefer (mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.) Bring everything together in a bowl, cook your egg however you like- I prefer over easy. Add edible flowers or dig right in!!
