The market can provide you with all your snacking needs with this rich chocolate popcorn that took less than 10 minutes to throw together.
For the popcorn:
2 tbsp coconut oil, avocado oil or another high heat oil
1/2 cup Riverview Milling Farms popcorn
butter and salt to top (optional)
For the chocolate drizzle:
1 bar of Belle Chocolates
1 tbsp coconut oil
Here’s how I did it:
Turn your stovetop on medium heat. Melt your coconut oil in a pan, place two kernels in and put the lid on. Wait for the kernels to pop. Once they pop, remove them and pour the rest of your kernels in. Let the pan sit on the burner for 10-20 seconds longer. Once the kernels begin to pop, turn the heat off and shake the pan over the stove a few times to get the unpopped kernels to the bottom. Once the popping has slowed, I place the pan on my countertop and let it sit for a minute to allow for any unpopped kernels to either pop or cool a little. Transfer to a big bowl or flat cooking sheet to prepare for your chocolate drizzle. In a saucepan, place your coconut oil and chocolate on low heat. Once chocolate has melted, drizzle over popcorn and let cool slightly. Add any other toppings you might enjoy like sea salt, cinnamon or even cayenne for some heat. Now you’re ready for movie night.
