Quality Vs. Quantity

When fear hits, customers hit the shelves and stock pile on what they think are essentials— bread, milk, eggs, canned goods and toilet paper. Well, the market can help put your worries at ease that we will not run out of these much needed items as long as farmers are farming. Well, except for toilet paper. We can only offer you our last year’s edition of the Farmers Almanac 😉

Seriously though, we will have eggs as long as there are chickens laying. We will always have milk as long as goats and cows are providing milk. And we will have bread, canned goods, chocolate and the likes as long as we continue to support small businesses.

Several of our vendors have storefronts that have accommodated to the virus and are providing preorders, curbside delivery and more. If you need something on a day other than Wednesday, stop by Bread & Butter in Red Bank and stock up on some of your favorite market goodies from Belle Chocolates, Sequatchie Cove Creamery, and Riverview Milling just to name a few.

But don’t stop there. They have ready to go sandwiches on fresh-made bread like seeded baguettes or marble rye. Tired of making meals for the usually-not-home family? Take home a meat or veggie quiche for breakfast, lasagna for lunch or chicken pot pie for dinner, and of course they have dessert covered with pecan pies! Anyway you slice it, Bread & Butter are your little local grocery store that houses so much community in how and what they serve. Place your market preorders here!
