Month of Sips

As we covered all the fun dips in July, we continue the summer theme by cooling off with a month of sips! One of the biggest problems I have had in changing my diet is giving up sugary drinks as I often say, I drink my body weight. I water down my orange juice, tea and sports drinks but they still contain more calories than I need in one glass.

So I am more than ecstatic to promote all the liquid deliciousness that is available at the market in a rainbow of colors all year long. From the creamy white goat or cow milk to the rich black coffee. The bubbly bright yellow Kombucha in the summer to the crisp autumn apple cider in the fall. There is always something to raise your glass to and this week, it’s National Farmers Market Week as well as our 10 yr anniversary celebration, so cheers!

For this decadent, once in a decade event, we have temporarily changed our location and we love how our newfound organic relationship with our neighbors, Chattanooga Brewing, has overflown with great opportunities such as this. They have used Mad Priest Coffee in their stouts, Jones’ Farms peaches in their gose, and they keep a rotating MSFM monthly food feature on the menu. Chatt Brew was also an incubator for the creation of Blue Indian Kombucha as Karen began to make her booch in the brewery.

As if they could not get any more supportive, they offer a FREE beer ticket EVERY WEEK to every MSFM customer. Simply show your purchase to our MSFM booth, receive a beer ticket then walk on over to Chattanooga Brewing to cash it in for any of their delectable drafts (only one ticket per person per visit). For this celebration, they are also donating 10% of their sales all day to our non profit market. If you want to make a contribution to the MSFM, feel free to dine at Chattanooga Brewing before, during or after this Wednesday’s event or stop by the MSFM info booth and make a $10 dip jar donation.
