Dayspring Farm
Altamont, Tennessee
Dayspring Farm is the brainchild of Charles & Lynn Blankenship. We decided to return to farming after a 30 year hiatus in 2013. Our commitment to the stewardship of the land we have been blessed with includes raising grass-fed beef and pasture-raised chickens, rotational grazing, and other sustainable practices.
Our youngest daughter Christia and her husband Richard Crook made the trip to the farm with us. Along with running Pig Mountain, our farrow-to-finish pastured pork operation, Christia and Richard man the market booth.
Year-round at Main St. Market, we bring various cuts of beef and pork (always frozen), eggs, and small-batch soaps made with our pastured lard. In addition, we have a diverse personal garden including permanent herb beds and we keep bees to pollinate/harvest honey. We occasionally have those products available at the market, as well.
