This holiday season, bring home a beautiful Frasier fir while supporting a great cause. All trees are sourced from a small family farm in Tuckasegee, North Carolina, and 100% of profits will go toward rebuilding Western North Carolina farms affected by recent disasters.

How to pre-order:
🌲 Choose Your Tree - select from 5-9 ft. Frasier firs.
🚗 Choose a convenient pick-up date.
🎁 You can also add extra support with an additional donation on your total at checkout to provide even more help.

Market Shopping Guide for Toscana Soup 🍲

What you need:
One large onion
mild or hot Italian Sausage
potatoes
kale
heavy cream
Garlic
Thyme
Seasonings of choice (fennel?)

For this batch (6-8 servings), we visited @pigmountain.tn for 2 packs of Italian Sausage, grabbed an XL onion from @hernandezfarmstn, lots of kale from Red Clay Farms, potatoes from @adasheritage, and cream from @fallcreekfarmstn. If you can’t find cream this week, you can usually find some locally at @gaininggroundgrocery.

✅ Pro tip: substitute the sausage for @midwaymushrooms or just add mushrooms in addition to sausage.

Method: In a large pot, saute sausage links until fully cooked, remove from pot, and set aside. In the same pot, saute onions until browned.

While onions are cooking, slice sausages into small pieces. When onions are translucent, add garlic to pot and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add water (or chicken stock), potatoes, thyme (or other seasonings like fennel) and sausages to pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are fully cooked, about 20-25 minutes.

Add kale, cook until wilted (around 5 minutes), and add heavy cream to your preferred richness.

Serve warm and enjoy!

It’s that time of year again! As the days get shorter with daylight savings, our market hours will now wrap up at 5:30pm.

This annual shift helps our farmers get back to the fields before dark to tend to their animals—goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, cows, and more. 🌱🐑

Can’t stop thinking about how much fun we had last Wednesday at #falltoberfest! What was your favorite part? 🍂🎃🍁

‼️ Don’t forget ‼️ This week’s market is shortened to coincide with the darker days of daylight savings. Year round, for fifty-two weeks, our market starts at four however, the time it ends fluctuates with sun.

Our farmers have to get back to the fields before dark to tend to the goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, cows and more!

You can always reach out to vendors and request pre-orders or alternate pickups to ensure you don’t miss out on your favorite goodies each week. Not all vendors offer pre-orders, but it doesn’t hurt to ask!
