Crabtree Farms is a non-profit project that promotes sustainable agriculture. We are re-energizing Chattanooga’s residents and involving them in the local food-shed through a family of programs that play out in an urban teaching farm.
Crabtree Farms was started in 1998 through public and private partnerships. A 22-acre donated plot of land is now home to our working farm. A team of staff and volunteers cultivates over 100 varieties of sustainably-grown vegetables, fruits and herbs. Our farm is available as a classroom and playground for locals. We dig in and get our hands dirty everyday, because we want to keep Chattanooga green.
